It's been 2 and a half years here since #steem and now #hive, and suddenly during this lockdown season, for the first time in my life I felt like there's nothing I can do to change the situation.

If you do not know, or may be I should make a note here we're currently in the middle of fighting a global pandemic together. It reminds me a lot of The Last Ship, a very famous drama series. We're stuck home and refrain from going outside to avoid getting spread or spread to others if we're a carrier.

My job is a marketing officer(despite my title is an assistant manager), and it required me to meet agents, car dealers, to befriend them so I can help the company to grab more business from them. Technically, I don't sell insurance, but I find potential agents to the company so they pay me.

At this lockdown season, my job technically done. Nobody buy insurance. If there's anyone who wanted to buy insurance, they're the one who wanted to extend cover the deadly disease, which no insurance company will take the risk. Even if they will, I bet the chargeable premium will be sky rocket and nobody will ever agree to purchase.

No business, meaning the company is bleeding. And it can't go on any further, when there's nothing else to bleed, they will have to somehow find a way to cut loss. Automatically, I should start to worry. It's my profession. And if it doesn't work with my company, I have every reasons to believe it doesn't work with the competitor as well. So what am I going to do? Send in a resume to the competitor company so they can hire me?

What leads me here? It's the money. I thought I can be a full time blogger in #steem #blockchain. Apparently, I'm not. I thought I can be just a good writer, and gain some #crypto, so I can be a part of the important contributor. Looks like I'm not. Well, atleast it's a friend making platform, I've gain some real friends here. And to my surprise, I've also gained some new friend back in #steem after the fork? Wasn't expect to gain audience from that side.

Technically, I have totally given up the dream of become a full time writer in either #steem nor #hive. The big sweet far upvote are not coming to my way, other than some of my long term supporter, which I'm really grateful to have them. But still, the payout is just way too little. The only thing I wanna do here and #steem is to keep a record, like writing a diary for myself. I can't possibly be trying further to make this pay for my daily wage anymore.

I'm still searching for an answer. I'm really worry now, once the lockdown being uplifted, it's like the actual moment of the pandora box being opened. It will be full of surprises, and it's going to the be the nasty one. We all know the industries has been locked down for a long time, when it reopened, there's going to be a huge boom to catch up sales and turn over. But the same time, we will be seeing a lot of merger. Some smaller company, will be closed instead. 3 of my clients who owned a used car dealer had closed down their business on the first week. They just can't afford to rent a place to put their car there anymore, since nobody is buying. And after the merger, there will be a lots of consolidation and price war. And after the price war, there will be a lot more company that close within the next few months.

Once again, those are not my problem in general, if I don't choose to go back to the industry. Tell me, if I moved myself away from the job, what can I do online. I wish I can be a YouTuber, but I don't know how. My YouTube channel has been there for years, I tried to make some videos, and most of them have less then 10 views. I do have some subscriber, namely own family member who didn't bother to watch my video even if I share it to their Facebook feed.

So, really man. It's kinda frustrating. The old saying goes, successful people do things differently, but not doing different things. How different is different?

Sorry about the rant, but I think I really need to get some sleep. It's been a long day because my superior is giving me a lots of manual work to extra data from the company server, from home. So I'm fully occupied, atleast makes me slightly more important than the company to just drop me on the next pay check. But again, we all know this will not last. I just wanted to find a way out. If you know one, I'd like to hear from you.
