The Plot

Skip this if you do not wish to read any of my drama. This part of my life has been mostly negative. Trust me, I'm trying to stay positive, hence I am able to write this down and even draw it. If this is not the shit you're looking for, feel free to "fast forward" to the next chapter.

My weekend turnout to be very stressful, I wanted to sit down and write a story, instead my notepad slowly turned into my drawing pad as I started sketching my despicable boss face as a demon. So many call, so many complaints, and the devil has to wait until I go to church and started giving me emergency tasks, when I late to answer, I'm getting call names, as if I am purposely not do my job(despite it was in the weekend).

Well, for the most part of my work life, there's so many angels and demons I have encountered, I'm sure you have the same feeling. However, this time I am facing something entirely different. My boss(actually manager) used to be a very good guy. A couple of years ago when I was stuck in the same job, same role for 9 years I couldn't get out, someone introduced me to this person and we became instant buddy. He dragged me out from that pile of muddy corporate slump and rescued me... To a less buddy slump 🤣

Nowadays, the angel I once thought he was what I have imagined, a bright white creature with wings, holding a harp, Christmas carolling everyday through out the year, turned out to be a total jerk 😅

The twist

So I decided not to go about with my usual daily Chinese blog and started flipping through the internet. I would like to make an honorable mention of a little girl I liked to egaged with, she's @yashny. I remember she does #inktober, so I went and search for it, and today's topic is supposed to be "mystical". So happened, I remember a reading from the church, it was about how demon disguised as an angel. Well I think my boss is that demon 👿 he's probably desparate looking for help a couple of years ago, hence he show me the angel side of his face.

2 Corinthians 11:14
​"And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light."

The turn

So, the idea of this piece of work is me putting things into perspective. Demons and angels are equally powerful. Nobody live to tell what does angel really looks like. It could be a human memory residue that we given these creature how they "should" looked like. For one second we saw a handsome face bright white angel Infront of us, we just won't know what happened behind the back. This picture depicting the moment of the "angel" turning sideways, probably having something sinister in mind regarding our human prayers to God(or demon, as I once pray that the class teacher meet an accident so she can't come to class, bcause I didn't prepare for the test paper).

This is the first time I'm drawing this kind of stuff. Naturally, I need some guidelines. I did it with pencil first.

Once I have putting all the detail with pen, I'm rubbing away the pencil mark, so I can start touching up and shading it, to bring the lighting and contrast up.

And this is the final product.

I enjoyed writing, and nowadays I started to enjoy drawing as well. I find drawing things out, when I started to put in the detail, it relief my pain at the same time. I don't "not hate" my boss so much now after all these 🤣 I hope you enjoy reading and curating my work, as much as I enjoyed producing it.
