What surprises me the most about Hive right now is that it still has not lost its magic despite what is happening with the price.
I know the current price sentiment is not exciting. In fact, for many people who only look at Hive from the outside, they might think that the platform is no longer attractive because the token price is low. They might even assume that onboarding new users during this kind of market condition is a waste of effort.
But if you are actually here, if you are posting, curating, engaging, and reading what people are doing every day, you will realize that Hive is still very much alive.
People come and go on this platform. That is normal. It happens in every cycle. Some users become less active when the price goes down, while others completely disappear. But what amazes me is that there are still very loyal people who continue to show up despite the current market sentiment. They are still posting content, still curating, still commenting, and still putting in effort to onboard new users into the ecosystem.
That alone says a lot about the strength of Hive.
A few days ago, I received a comment on one of my Snaps posts, and I noticed that the person who commented was a newly onboarded user. His Hive name is Opponent, and he was onboarded by one of the active users here on Hive.
That small interaction immediately gave me a good impression. Since I already know and trust the Hive user who onboarded him, I also felt that this new user was likely a real and genuine person. This is one of the things I really like about Hive. We are such a small community that trust is often built through relationships. When someone we already know brings in a new user, there is already a level of confidence and connection attached to that account.
That may sound simple, but I think it is actually powerful.
In Web2 platforms, new accounts usually feel random and faceless. You do not really know who is real, who is a bot, or who is just there to spam. But here on Hive, because of the social layer and the reputation built over time, trust can flow naturally through the community. When a trusted user brings someone in, the new user already has a small bridge into the platform.
That made me realize that onboarding efforts are still ongoing, even when many people might think this is a bad time to onboard.
Actually, I believe the opposite.
For me, onboarding new users during a bear market might be one of the best approaches for Hive. Why? Because users who join during difficult times will experience the platform for what it really is, not just for the rewards or price hype. They will see the community, the engagement, the conversations, the learning process, and the long-term value of being part of something that continues to function even when the market is weak.
New users who experience Hive during a bear market will probably appreciate it even more during the bull market.
This is also the season where deeper bonds are formed. When everything is bullish, it is easy to be excited. It is easy to post, engage, and celebrate when rewards are high and everyone is optimistic. But during the bearish season, the people who remain active are the ones who truly care about the platform. These are the people building routines, forming friendships, supporting one another, and keeping the ecosystem alive.
I believe many accomplishments actually happen during bear markets. Most developments that survive every cycle are built during quiet seasons like this. The habits we form now, the users we support now, and the communities we strengthen now may become the foundation of Hive’s next growth phase.
Personally, I can say that the people I connect with during this season are the ones I will probably remember the most when better times come. There is something meaningful about growing together when things are not easy. It creates camaraderie. It creates loyalty. It creates a deeper sense of belonging.
That is why I think this is the best time to get involved with Hive.
It is the best time to connect with other users, support newcomers, and help them understand why this platform matters beyond the price. It is also the best time to keep onboarding people who are genuinely interested in content creation, engagement, and Web3 ownership.
