Another grey rainy day. These do get to my psyche as I want to spend at least a couple hours outside every day. Dig out the umbrella for an umbrella walk and loop around to the shops

Richmond Park walkway. It doubles as a cycle path too. A small slice of remnant turpentine forest with a rainforest feel
Mission was to check on the greenhoods. No flowers yet but the first sign of a flower spike emerging
Walked around the edges of the 10 square metres these orchids are. Last time there were only a few plants. Now there are a whack of plants - maybe 50 in all

Walked fiether up the sealed path to a small side track. Did find a few mosquito orchids flowering. Light was poor and photos were worse. Deleted them

Got the shopping done. Umbrella was not needed
Dinner - my wife wanted nachos using the yesterday chilli con carne
Simple enough - lay corn chips on a tray. Lay on some shredded cheese to protect the corn chips from.anything soggy in the sauce
Lay the chilli con carne across the top with another layer of cheese and a sprinkle of chilli flakes - bake at 180C for about10 minutes. Did help that I had already warmed up the chilli in the oven beforehand
Serve with guacamole, tomato salsa, sour cream. Chopped iceberg lettuce and cabbage would be a good addition.
