A decent day as we closed out the weekend with sunny skies although our hike up in the canyon earlier was still a bit damp.
I was up at dawn as I didn't sleep well so Lulu and I went out for a 2-mile walk at dawn.
Plenty of squirrels along our route so Lulu got a chance for some chasing them which is always funny since the squirrels seem to love to sit up in the trees and chatter loudly at her. A few raindrops fell but ourwalk was mostly dry and enjoyable (and Lulu had fun rolling in the cooling and damp grass at the hatchery).
Spearfish Canyon was foggy and cool but it was a nice afternoon for 3 miles along the Roughlock Trail. Lots of plants beginning to flower so it'll be nice to pick nuts and berries in the autumn but for now the scenery was beautiful to look at.
One more morning shift at the hatchery tomorrow.
