Lulu and I headed over to Prescott early this morning for a hike around beautiful Lynx Lake.
The healthy rains have really helped to recharge Lynx Creek and as a result the lake has filled up nicely (although the muddy water wasn't too pretty).
Lulu was excited and ready to hit the trail even before I parked at the north end of the lake. Plenty of people enjoying the mild weather and lots of things for Lulu to investigate along the way.
We kept up a good pace except for a bit of bushwhacking to cross the creek and hit the east side dirt trail back.
2 and a half miles and it was great to be back at Lynx with my Lulu.
I initially hadn't planned on a run today but my legs felt ok so I headed out on the roads for a not too exciting 6 miles around the local college area and up to the base of the foothills.
The climbs were good and I managed a good effort.
Hopefully it's a productive weekend ahead.
