The famous Cheesy Chix
Hi steemians! It has been months ever since I posted a food review. My bon appétit along the street series also needs to be updated; gee I have so much food reviews pending. Sorry about that! I promise to post regularly starting next week. Recently, I had the chance to get together with some of my friends and eat at Fat Dois .
Fat Dois is a well known restaurant situated in Cebu. The restaurant is popular for its delightful cheesy dishes that will surely satisfy a hungry stomach. Currently, it has only 1 outlet in the city: the one in A.S. Fortuna St., Mandaue City, Cebu. Check the time it opens and closes here:

THE PLACE:
The famous Red Door.
I would say that the place is quite small hence; the people who arrived later than the others need to wait outside in the waiting area for the place not to be overcrowded which is understandable due to the limited space. The entrance a.k.a. the red door makes the place remarkable and unique compared to other restaurants. I like the wall decoration which displays the name of the place. With regards to cleanliness, it is hygienic and clean. There are no spots of dirt and other undesirable mess. The ventilation is also good, the air-conditioning works well.
THE FOOD:

Knowing that people need to be at least an hour early for reservation, I have high standards with regards to the food. People really have the patience to wait for an hour just to taste the cheesy dishes. As recommended by online reviewers, we ordered the Cheese Ribs and the Cheesy Chix.

Delightful Cheese Ribs
The food really does look good! I mean look at the aesthetics. My verdict for the Cheesy Chix, for me it was just above average. I mean yes it is cheesy but the taste of the chicken seems a little bit bland. I would really recommend you to put extra cheese on your cheesy chix if you want it to be cheesier if you’re a cheese fanatic like me. But I did enjoy the Cheese Ribs A LOT, it was really oozing with flavor. Even if you just put a little bit of cheese, the flavor is outstanding. Since I am not really into noodles, I was not able to try it but people say it is delightful.
THE SERVICE:
The service is good. Not fast, not slow, just enough. The food was served right on time so I have nothing against the service. Just one thing, when we arrive, and the girl started calling names for those who reserved, my friend’s name was skipped. So be mindful! Always take note of your reservation number. The mistake was understandable since there are lots of people waiting and the mix up is no big deal. Overall, the service was excellent!
FINAL THOUGHTS:
The cheese ribs are to die for! If you want to visit the place, make sure you order it. I would recommend being early. If possible, an hour early before the place opens. Upon arriving, list your name on the piece of paper hanged in front of the red door. Overall, I like the experience.Thumbs up!
