Today I want to introduce you a delicious Bavarian dish, instead of bought mushrooms You can also take self collected forest mushrooms . but be careful that you only collect edible mushrooms
ingredients
1 onion (s)
butter
200 ml of milk
250 g dumplings - bread
3 egg (s)
1 tbsp parsley, chopped
1 tsp salt
1 pinch (s) of pepper
1 pinch (s) of nutmeg
For the sauce: (mushroom sauce)
500 g mushrooms
1 onion (s)
40 g of butter
1 teaspoon flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 pinch (s) of pepper
100 ml of water
1 cup of cream
1 tbsp parsley, chopped
1 tsp vinegar
Preparation
Working time: approx. 30 min.
For the dumplings, finely dice 1 onion and fry in butter, add 200 ml of milk. Pour 250 g dumpling bread with the hot milk, let it rest for 10 minutes. Add 3 eggs and 1 tablespoon chopped parsley. Season with 1 teaspoon salt, 1 pinch of pepper, 1 pinch of nutmeg and knead loosely. Form 8 dumplings from the dough and place in boiling salted water. Let dumplings soak for 20 minutes.
For the mushroom sauce, clean 500 g of mushrooms, wash briefly and cut into slices. Dice 1 onion, sauté 40 g of butter with the mushrooms. Dust 1 teaspoon of flour over it. Season with 0.5 teaspoons salt and 1 pinch of pepper. Add 100 ml of water and 1 cup of cream. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add 1 tbsp chopped parsley and 1 tsp vinegar and season to taste.
