Good afternoon, everyone, and welcome to my blog.
Today, in the spirit of "throwback Thursday," I was looking for some photos for my usual #tbt post—the kind I often share on my social media, especially on WhatsApp, which is the platform I use most. I decided to focus on memories from "Pink October," as World Breast Cancer Day is coming up in the next few days.
For the past several years, a relatively new tradition in my city has been the "Pink Race" (Carrera Rosa), along with all the related activities—such as screenings, breast ultrasounds, and mammograms—sponsored by this campaign. It also includes sporting events, informative talks, dance-based exercise sessions, and much more, all aimed at supporting breast cancer patients and promoting prevention.
For reasons unknown to me—and which I prefer not to speculate about—the event did not take place this year, nor did the various activities linked to this wonderful cause, which was championed by local running clubs and the Policlínica Del Sur. While some companies may be hosting independent talks or events, the "Pink Race" (Carrera Rosa) was something that, every October, brought our two cities together, drawing runners from all across the country.
Today, I wanted to put together a collection of photographs capturing beautiful moments from the five years I spent participating in this event—an experience through which I also received preventive healthcare. I’ve titled this collection "Pink Memories." I remain deeply grateful to the organizers, and I pray that this cause will return, continuing to provide vital support to so many patients in need.

Feliz tarde para todos, bienvenidos a mi blog.
Hoy, aprovechando el jueves de recuerdos, estaba buscando unas fotos para hacer el acostumbrado #tbt de mis redes sociales... sobre todo WhatsApp, que es la que más uso. Por eso me enfoqué en mis recuerdos de Octubre Rosa, ya que en los próximos días se celebra el Día Mundial contra el Cáncer de Mama.
Una tradición más o menos reciente en mi ciudad, desde hace varios años, era la Carrera Rosa y todos los eventos que le seguían, como despistaje, eco mamario y mamografías patrocinados por esta campaña, así como también eventos deportivos, charlas, bailoterapia, y mucho más, con la finalidad de apoyar a los pacientes con cáncer de mama e incentivar la prevención.
Por razones que no conozco, y que prefiero no deducir, este año por primera vez no se realizó, ni tampoco las actividades que estaban vinculadas a esta causa tan bonita promovida por clubes de corredores y Policlínica Del Sur. Sé que de manera independiente algunas empresas estarán haciendo charlas y algunos eventos, pero la Carrera Rosa era algo que cada mes de octubre unía a las dos ciudades y recibíamos corredores de todo el país.
Hoy quise hacer una recopilación de varias fotografías de momentos hermosos a lo largo de 5 años de este evento donde estuve, participé y recibí atención preventiva. Las llamé "Memorias de color rosa". Siempre agradecida con ellos, y esperando en Dios que esta causa retorne, y pueda seguir apoyando a tantos pacientes que lo necesitan.
