Nine Rounds of Chaos — A Tough Battle Until the Final Strike — With Two Challenging Rulesets

Todays 52 mana battle was very interesting and I got the opportunity to play this battle with two challenging rulesets where I faced a tough defeat in 9 rounds. The game took quite a long time because both teams had heavy units on the field but the enemy unit combination and strategy worked better on the battlefield.

In any high mana battle with multiple restrictions it is important that you first understand every ruleset properly and then select your team accordingly. If you do this your chances of winning will become much higher.

Before moving toward the battle breakdown and my strategy first lets understand the rulesets what is explained in these rulesets and what strategy and team combination I made according to them.

RULESET 1: AIM TRUE

This is a ruleset where all units gain True Strike ability. And what does this Aim True ruleset do? The attacks will never miss their target.

Because of this Aim True ability high speed and miss abilities lose their normal value since every strike lands successfully.

According to this ruleset it is necessary to adopt a strategy where you focus on solid health and heavy armor rather than depending on dodging attacks.

RULESET 2: SUPER SNEAK

This is a ruleset where all units with a melee attack have Sneak ability. And what does this Super Sneak ruleset do? It forces all melee units to target the enemy unit in the last position instead of the front tank.

According to this ruleset it is necessary to adopt a strategy where you place high health defenders or heavy melee in your backline to absorb these targeted strikes and to remain alive in the battle for the longer time.

MY STRATEGY AND MONSTERS SELECTION

Keeping these two rulesets in mind what strategy did I adopt and which units did I select? I knew that under Aim True attacks never missed and under Super Sneak my backline would face heavy melee pressure.

First of all I selected my archon monster with +1 Health boost to my allied units. In high mana battles this extra health provides a great help against incoming attacks.

On the front line in first position I selected my main front tank with high health and armor to absorb standard incoming damage.

In the second position I selected reach ability monster with melee attack that will continue attacking from the 2nd position.

From third to lasts monster, I selected the mix combination of ranged and magic attackers. I totally choose aggressive stance because of the true strike ability.

Because the attacks will never miss that is why I decided to list strong attackers and as much possible to eliminate the enemy front line units in the early battle.

ON THE BATTLEFIELD

When I looked at the enemy lineup on the battlefield it was also quite interesting. They had brought a powerful team with melee attackers that fully utilized the both rulesets.

The battle started with direct attacks coming from both sides. Because of the Aim True ruleset every single strike landed without missing a single hit.

In the early rounds both sides traded heavy blows. Heavy attackers were crossing each other.

The battle was very interesting from round 1 to round round 9. It was still unknown which team has winning position.

In Round 9 the battle finally came to an end. My final remaining unit fought bravely but the enemey last unit power was double of mine last unit and that results in my team loss..

At the end of Round 9 I faced a defeat. It was not my mistake at all, I have selected the best monsters considering the rulesets and you can see the battles were undecided until the last round. In the end I congrats the opponent who surely had the strong team selection then me.
