In high mana battles my win rate is usually much better because there are more chances for monster selection. Due to the high mana cap you can plan your strategy comfortably and make the best placement before entering the battlefield. Especially when the rulesets are also in your favor the enjoyment of the battle is something else.
You can even get a one-sided victory just like the excellent victory I got today in this same 6 mana battle. It was a victory that we rarely see in battles where the majority of your units remain alive while all the enemy units are eliminated.
If you understand the rulesets properly follow them and plan your strategy accordingly then you will surely succeed in destroying the enemy lineup and can win the battle.
Before we move towards the battle and discuss which strategy and monsters I selected let us first understand these two rulesets.
In today's battle we saw two rulesets which were Close Range and Noxious Fumes. These are very interesting rulesets. Let's learn about them.
Ruleset 1: Close Range
Close Range is a ruleset where all units whether they belong to the allied team or the enemy team get the Close Range ability. The Close Range ability works for ranged attackers. This means that you can place a ranged attacker in the first position and still make it perform ranged attacks.
Normally ranged attackers can only attack from the back position. But according to this ruleset all your ranged monsters can attack while staying in the first position or the second position as well.
So according to this ruleset it is necessary to adopt a strategy where you try to select as many monsters with high ranged attack and high health as possible. Place them in the first position and take the best advantage of this ruleset.
Ruleset 2: Noxious Fumes
Noxious Fumes is a ruleset where all units whether allied or enemy start the battle with Poison. This means that after Round 1 at the end of every round the Poison effect is applied. As a result the health of all affected units is reduced by 2.
Due to this ruleset battles that would normally last longer end quickly. And believe me this same 6 mana battle ended in only two rounds.
According to this ruleset you should adopt a strategy where you select your strongest monsters with high health and high armor so they can survive in the battle for a longer time.
MY STRATEGY ACCORDING TO THE RULESETS
Keeping these two rulesets in mind I adopted the following strategy.
I selected my Archon monster with the Magic Plus One ability in the front. This means that at the beginning of the battle the magic power of all my magic attackers will increase by one.
According to the rulesets I selected monsters with very high armor and high health for my front line and secondary positions. This means they would continue absorbing damage.
Because I selected an Archon with the Magic ability my aim was to select as many magic monsters as possible so I could take advantage of this ability.
In the third and fourth positions I selected ranged attackers with an aggressive stance so they would continue attacking. Even when they reached the front line they would still keep attacking because of the Close Range ruleset.
After that I again selected magic attackers in the fifth and sixth positions. This would increase their magic power by one and allow them to keep attacking from the back line.
In other words my effort was to reduce the health of as many enemy units as possible in the first round so that many of them would be destroyed by Noxious Fumes in Round 2. And that is exactly what happened.
ON THE BATTLEFIELD
When I looked at my lineup and the enemy lineup on the battlefield I was quite confused because the enemy team also had monsters that were quite similar to my team's monsters.
Round 1 started very well with heavy strikes from both sides. Since Noxious Fumes does not apply during Round 1 everything was normal.
But as soon as you look at Round 2 you can see that when Poison was applied at the end of the round around three enemy units were eliminated while only one of my units was eliminated.
In this way the battle became three versus five. Then because of my continuous attacks the battle ended in Round 2 itself. The three enemy monsters that were still alive were also eliminated.
In this way I got a very excellent victory in the battle. Five of my monsters remained alive while all the enemy units were eliminated.
If you understand these kinds of rulesets properly and select your monsters accordingly you can achieve such an excellent victory.
What strategy would you use in these kinds of rulesets and which monsters would you select? will be glad to see your answers in the comment section.
