And to think that there was a time when i would throw browning bananas in the bin! Sacre bleu!!! Not anymore, no way Jose. Now the thought of golden delicious banana bread is what i think of when our bananas start to turn, and then I just go ahead and make it.
Ingredients:
210g Flour
4 ripe bananas
150g caster sugar (I used Demura sugar)
1 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 medium eggs
120g margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
50g chocolate chips
So what do you need?
Tin and baking paper
Bananas
Flour
Ground Cinnamon
Chocolate Chips
Salt
Vannila extract
Demura Sugar
Margarine
STEP 1: Preheat your oven to 160 degrees Celsius.
STEP 2: Mix the flour, baking soda, salt and ground cinnamon together in a bowl.
STEP 3: Take a separate bowl and mix together the eggs, margarine, 3 mashed bananas, sugar, vanilla essence and chocolate chips.
STEP 4: Slowly add the flour mix, while continually stirring. Its ready for the tin now.
STEP 5: Arguably the most important step. Get a little helper to help 😁 My little helper was my 4 year old son.
STEP 6: Add your mix to a baking tin. Line the tin with baking paper. If you've no baking paper, then rub butter along the inside of the tin. This is to stop it sticking.
STEP 7: slice the last banana in two and place on top of the mix in the tin.
STEP 8: Pop the tin into the pre heated oven at 160 degrees Celsius.
STEP 9: Remove from the oven. Allow to cool for around 5 mins. Tip the tin and remove the baking paper.
STEP 10: Allow to cool on a wire tray for another 5 minutes
Bon appetite!! Time to enjoy and don't forget to share with the little helper or helpers!!
