Hace un par de meses me dio una gripe muy fuerte, de esas que te dejan bastante d茅biles, particularmente, cuando atravieso por un cuadro viral me encierro en mi cuarto y trato de tener el menor contacto posible con mis padres para evitar contagiarlos. Siempre los cuido de esta manera pero a partir de la pandemia lo hago con m谩s consciencia.
Estuve casi tres semanas en mi habitaci贸n, sal铆a a lo esencial, pr谩cticamente solo al ba帽o porque har谩 com铆a en mi habitaci贸n. Lo que pasa es que mi pap谩 cuando se enferma se pone muy delicado, as铆 que trato por todos los medios de cuidarlo. Mi mam谩 me ayuda demasiado en esos momentos, me hace la comida y est谩 pendiente de que me tome los medicamentos. En esta ocasi贸n la gripe vino acompa帽ada de fiebre y de una debilidad general muy aguda.
Al pasar aproximadamente tres semanas me sent铆 mucho mejor y ya sal铆a de mi habitaci贸n, sin embargo, realmente me sent铆a muy d茅bil. En ese momento mi primo me envi贸 un mensaje pregunt谩ndome si lo pod铆a atender y le dije que s铆. Me coment贸 que quer铆a entregarme algo y para m铆 sorpresa, lleg贸 a la casa con una sopa hecha por 茅l mismo 馃挅
A couple of months ago, I got a really bad case of the flu, one of those that leaves you quite weak. Especially when I'm going through a viral illness, I lock myself in my room and try to have as little contact with my parents as possible to avoid infecting them. I always take care of them this way, but since the pandemic, I've done it more consciously.
I was in my room for almost three weeks, going out only for essentials, practically only to the bathroom because I would eat in my room. The thing is, when my dad gets sick, he gets very delicate, so I do everything I can to take care of him. My mom helps me a lot during those times, making me meals and making sure I take my medication. This time, the flu came with a fever and very severe general weakness.
After about three weeks, I felt much better and was already leaving my room, but I really felt very weak. At that moment, my cousin texted me asking if I could see him, and I said yes. He told me he wanted to give me something and to my surprise, he came home with a soup he had made himself 馃挅
Sin duda alguna, este gesto me conmovi贸 much铆simo porque mi primo sab铆a que yo estaba saliendo de ese virus odioso y me hizo una sopa para darme energ铆as. 脡l sabe que yo soy amante de la sopa y su intuici贸n fue que realmente la necesitaba y no se equivoc贸. Cuando vi la sopa me alegr茅 much铆simo, no solo por la sopa sino por el gesto tan lindo de haberla hecho para mi bienestar. Un regalo se aprecia mucho m谩s cuando nos dan precisamente lo que necesitamos.
La sopa era de pollo, ten铆a pocas verduras porque mi primo la hizo sencilla de acuerdo a sus posibilidades y estaba demasiado deliciosa 馃構 Normalmente cuando uno se enferma no le da mucho apetito y aunque ya estaba mejor, la verdad es que estaba comiendo poco pero la sopa de mi primo lleg贸 en el momento indicado. Un acto de bondad justo en el momento preciso, un hermoso suceso imprevisto.
Without a doubt, this gesture touched me deeply because my cousin knew I was recovering from that hateful virus and made me some soup to give me energy. He knows I love soup, and his intuition was that I really needed it, and he wasn't wrong. When I saw the soup, I was so happy, not only for the soup itself but for the lovely gesture of having made it for my well-being. A gift is much more appreciated when we are given exactly what we need.
The soup was chicken, had few vegetables because my cousin made it simple to the best of his ability, and it was so delicious. 馃構 Normally, when someone gets sick, they don't have much of an appetite, and although I was already better, the truth is I was eating very little, but my cousin's soup arrived at just the right time. An act of kindness at just the right moment, a beautiful, unexpected event.
No esper茅 nada, de inmediato me busqu茅 una taza, le a帽ad铆 la sopa y comenc茅 a comer. Cr茅anme, est谩 sopa sab铆a a amor. Estaba bien de sal, las verduras eran las que yo necesitaba y el pollo la prote铆na que necesitaba. Sobre todo, la atenci贸n de mi primo que tiene un coraz贸n gigante y est谩 atento a cualquier necesidad que tanto mis otros familiares o yo precisemos.
Es normal que la mayor铆a de los hombres sean m谩s pr谩cticos a la hora de llevarle algo de comer a alguien que se est谩 recuperando de alg煤n virus, lo convencional es que compren frutas o compren una comida en alg煤n restaurante pero ni primo la preparo 茅l mismo y eso es sumamente especial. Un gran regalo que agradec铆 en el momento y atesoro como un grato recuerdo lleno de cari帽o 馃珎
I didn't wait for anything; I immediately got myself a cup, added the soup, and started eating. Believe me, this soup tasted like love. It was well-salted, the vegetables were just what I needed, and the chicken was the protein I needed. Above all, the attention of my cousin, who has a huge heart and is attentive to any need that my other family members or I may have.
It's normal for most men to be more practical when it comes to bringing food to someone recovering from a virus. The conventional approach is to buy fruit or a meal at a restaurant, but not even a cousin prepared it himself, and that is extremely special. A great gift that I appreciated at the time and treasure as a fond memory full of love. 馃珎
La comida es una bendici贸n y si viene de un ser humano con sentimientos tan puros y s煤per altruista, no solo te alimenta f铆sicamente sino que tambi茅n te deja llenito el coraz贸n 馃挆
