Turns out there are many version of this old proverb. It is thought to be referenced in Canterbury Tales meaning it was in use in the early 1400s (at least according to wikipedia).
Back to modern day Vermont, it is a pretty day out but the snow isn't done yet.
We missed the snow yesterday and it seemed we wouldn't get any at all.
But today we have gotten probably at least 6" of snow. And there is much more up in the mountains.
