I've been seeing lots of mushrooms in Vermont lately. So I took some time to photograph a few for todays post.
This large polypore was in my yard. It already had grass growing up through it when I found it
Lots of mushrooms growing the pine needle forest floor like these small brown mushrooms.
I found this cluster of coral mushrooms under a pine tree again in the needles.
White pine trees are very common in Vermont. In my area, maybe as common as the more famous maples.
These yellow mushrooms might be white pine bolette which would be appropriate.
I'm not sure about the mushroom but it was definitely under some tall white pines 馃槅
I was focused on getting this nice photo of the gills on this mushrooms and realized it was the only photo I took 馃檨
These funnel type mushrooms were growing on a downed log. Quite photogenic but not sure on the ID.
There was quite a cluster of these funnel mushrooms. I'm mostly about the photos. I am not good with identifications or education. Some of these may be obvious to mushroom enthusiasts but they are not any of the type I normally collect.
