Lake Dunmore, Addison County, Vermont. We finally got a break from the heat and humidity.
We were blessed to have our son and his girlfriend in town to enjoy the day. We came up with four kayaks borrowing from some of our friends and all went out on the lake together.
Our friends let us use their dock. Dog included 🙂 My kids cringe at being on social media but I don't have to protect Corabelle's identity. She is a 2 year old standard poodle.
Such a still day. Perfect for kayaking and also perfect for reflections 😍
Everything is so green in Vermont right now. We have had a good combination of rain and sun.
Lake Dunmore is the 9th largest lake in Vermont at just over 1000 acres. It is about 3 miles long and 1 mile wide at its widest point. Max depth is 105 ft. The combination of deep cold water and the shallower water in the southern end allows both cold water and warm water fish to thrive in the lake. There are trout, northern pike, and bass plus the usual mix of catfish, perch, and other non-game fish. The lake is large enough to waterski and has a full service marina. Plus a large public beach. What more could you want?
