Last Sunday I had the opportunity to visit San Tomé, where I lived for many years when I was newly married. It's the town next to San José de Guanipa.
San Tomé, from its original planning perspective, isn't a city, as it lacks avenues, shopping centers, or residential developments. Its structure consists of PDVSA facilities, an airport, and surrounding farms.
Within the company's facilities are the corresponding offices and operational spaces, the workers' housing area, a school, clubs and sports fields, a hospital, and private businesses located in family homes.
The surrounding area comprises oil production zones and several recreational parks both inside and outside the company's facilities. There are also several beaches and resorts located at varying distances. This area is ideal for excursions, jogging, and hiking.
I left early with my training group, and among the activities we enjoyed, I took the opportunity to take many photos. I've been selecting my favorites to save in this section of my blog, which I've dedicated solely to my photography practice.
I've continued practicing low-angle shots because the results are fascinating. I love seeing the effect of images captured from below.
I wanted to include here some photos I took a few days ago in the city with the camera practically touching the ground. This extreme low-angle shot is part of the overall composition, taken from a low perspective.
In this collection, I used several of the approaches we've practiced: angles from below, top-down angles, frontal and side shots, and even shots from the base of a hill. It's really fun to see the result of each perspective when looking at the photos. I'll share this first collection with you, and I hope you like it.

El domingo pasado tuve la oportunidad de ir de paseo a San Tomé, sitio donde viví por muchos años cuando estaba recién casada, y es la localidad que sigue después de San José de Guanipa.
San Tomé desde su planificación, no es una ciudad, ya que no cuenta con avenidas, centros comerciales, ni urbanizaciones. Su estructura consta de las instalaciones de Pdvsa, un aeropuerto, y fincas alrededor.
Dentro de las instalaciones de la empresa se encuentran las oficinas correspondientes y espacios operativos, la zona urbana de los trabajadores, escuela, clubes y canchas deportivas, el hospital, y comercios particulares en casas de familia.
El entorno consiste en zona de producción petrolera, y algunos parques recreativos tanto fuera como dentro de las instalaciones de la empresa. Hay varios balnearios más o menos distantes. Esta zona se presta muchísimo para hacer excursiones y entrenamientos de trote y senderismo.
Yo me fui temprano con mi grupo de entrenamiento y entre las actividades que disfrutamos, aproveché la oportunidad de tomar muchas fotos, y he ido seleccionando por tramos las que más me gustaron para guardarlas en este espacio de mi blog que dedicó únicamente a mí práctica fotográfica.
He seguido ensayando las fotos de bajo perfil porque el resultado es fascinante, me encanta ver el efecto de las imágenes cuando son capturadas desde abajo.
Quise integrar aquí, algunas fotos que tomé días atrás en la ciudad con la cámara casi pegada al suelo, que consiste en el ángulo contrapicado extremo y forma parte del plano desde una perspectiva inferior.
En este registro hice varios de los enfoques practicados, los ángulos desde una perspectiva inferior, ángulos de arriba hacia abajo, fotos frontales y laterales, y también al pie de una cima. Realmente es divertido ver el resultado de cada perspectiva al mirar las fotos. Les compartiré este primer registro, y espero que les guste.
