For those of you that are new to my MidNight Gems series. Welcome to this nightly trip on which we will uncover & recover some amazing songs & covers.
Tonight we have a session that is totally dedicated to great songs I found on HIVE. As I am spending more time there than I do with my kid (not HIVE´s fault btw), I am thinking about doing this more often. Let me know in the comments if that´s a good idea or not.
Well, I basically had no chance in hell not to start off with any other song than this next one.... as the force was with us on that 4th of May.

Now I was very pleased to find a new release of this guy... as he was the one that inspired me to create these Midnight Gems Sessions

This next one I found through Listnerds, @clairemobey is definitely having the most impressive video intro tonight, but what is an intro if you do not have the song to match it. Darn, this lady and that voice.

Now when I read the lyrics prior to hearing this song by @alente I was like ....yeah that´s okay as the post was about the writing of a song I thought it would end there. But the surprise was, the was an actual song.
A song that sucked me back into the seventies, the good part not the disco days. And I love the part around 2.42. Their channel only has 2 subscribers (well 3 now) so maybe you could give them some moral support, it´s well deserved if you ask me.
For those who know me, I love a good cover & I love this next song. So what could be better than a good cover of this next song by @ddsb
5.Titanium - David Guetta ft Sia (cover)
Coming from a great cover entering an incredible original song by @davidfar perfectly mixing Persian and English lyrics and vibes. This is really a song I consider a Midnight Gem. If it´s up to me (and it is) they are sure to return in a future Midnight Gems Session.
6. Our new Original Music Video Released! This is a hard work of Young Iranian Talents!!
This next song has been on the radio a bit too much if you ask me, but what if they would have played this version I would have made that channel my favorite right away. Please pour a drink, lay back, and enjoy these tears from heaven by @denysmusic .

I listened to this next song by @valorbeats just because I liked the picture they used and found the song to be just as pleasing to the ears as the picture was to my eyes.
8 ."Control" New Trap Beat Just Dropped
A session like tonight´s needs to end with a bang, a rising star bang, right? I had some trouble locating the songs in the post, but that´s probably me overlooking something. For those who just drifted off to a whole new world, Wake up with @ravenmus1c & Pump up that Volume.

Normally I do not do an encore but I just came across this pre-mix from @stickupmusic which I really enjoyed too much. He is mixing a new song by @theturtleproject, and I have to agree that the lyrics are brilliant. It reminded me of The Eels just a little, but it could be the theme of the songs.

What the fluff are midnight gems?
Somewhere lost in time, trying to escape out of the rabbit hole back into the rat race there is a vacuum..... that´s the place where midnight gems are found.
My Midnight Gems will try to uncover & recover those beautiful songs that nobody ever noticed or might have been forgotten.
Who the fluff am I?
Being a former DJ playing about everything and having an uncompleted study of radio journalism. I have been wanting to do this for years....Thought about it many nights and guess now it´s time to finally take it to the streets.
