Hola Tuesday!
We were a bit busy yesterday afternoon, and a certain tune kept playing in my head. While it felt weird, I thought it would be a nice piece for the Three Tune Tuesday initiative (by Ablaze). But when I woke up today, I couldn't recall what it was, except for the word "welcome." LOL!
It was not "Welcome to My World," nor "Welcome to Paradise." I ended up with a headache trying to force my brain to remember it馃槄 But to get the thing out of my system, here are my three selections for the day鈥攖he first being a very aggressive hard rock and heavy metal track:
Aah, those soaring, high-pitched screams along with distorted guitar riffs, heavy bass, and drumbeats that bring an unpredictable, chaotic energy, which is typical of the group (Guns N' Roses), who pioneered the raw, dirtier, and punk-infused style of rock in the 80s.
It's not really my kind of music, but I can give it a go once in a while.
Anyhow, the next is an emo, alternative rock, and pop-punk song released in 2006.
A somber tempo that suddenly erupts dramatically into a fast-paced, high-energy pop-punk and hard rock anthem. It is said that this song's arrangement was heavily influenced by Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, radically shifting tempos.
And this last track is a mid-2000s pop-punk and alternative rock ballad that also played in the air while I took care of my morning chores:
I quite like the clean opening, with an acoustic guitar strumming paired with a steady, subdued drum pattern, plus Pierre Bouvier's conversational and melodic vocal delivery. The sudden and dramatic shift in the chorus, where it erupts with heavily distorted electric guitar power chords, with the vocal harmonies soaring. And my head hummed along too!
No, you don't know what it's like
When nothin' feels alright
You don't know what it's like
To be like me
To be hurt, to feel lost
To be left out in the dark
To be kicked when you're down
To feel like you've been pushed around
To be on the edge of breakin' down
And no one's there to save you
No, you don't know what it's like
Welcome to my life
And there you go with the day's recommendation. Unfortunately, I still couldn't remember the "welcome" thingy that had been playing in my head the other day. Hopefully it will come soon!馃榿
