Waking up late to a gorgeous weekend in DD, which means we may enjoy some playtime outside. My lil boy is already getting bored indoors, and keeps sighing while sitting behind the screen door.
But before that, I'm taking the chance to lessen the laundry basket's burden first. It's already overflowing and had been screaming for weeks. My guilt couldn't take it anymore, lol!
I did toss a load to the machine yesterday, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to do one more today, or perhaps empty the whole hamper, otherwise the whites would grow molds. That would be a disaster, since it's tough to get rid of them once they turn into stains (I've not been able to find an effective remedy for such).
Meanwhile, we just learned that my nieces' granny (my brother's ex-wife's mother) has gone beyond the rainbow the other day... Cancer, they say.
It's been quite a while since we last saw and spoken to her. It must have been over a year. She was agile then. We were at a wake, and when she saw me, she came closer and we had a good conversation. Despite what happened to my brother and her daughter's relationship, we remained approachable.
She asked for help regarding a very personal matter, and the hubby and I extended what we could then. Before we parted ways, she confided that her daughter had been staying in the city and had not visited them for years (since the separation). "Not even a call?" I asked and she nodded. My heart sank. She never checked on my nieces (her kids) too.
But I just hope she was home and took good care of her mother in her last few months. It would truly be sad if she didn't... "Just how heartless could she be?" My thought's running wild now... Ssshhh...
