I've had a few requests to cover this full track and finally go round to doing so! Love this song, I think it has the best outro in any pop punk song. My tune "We Are The Ones" is inspired by this and has a section with trading vocals!
I recorded all of this in Ableton Live Lite (free version), made all the backing first and then when happy with that, exported and uploaded into a fresh project to do the vocals! I have 7 vocal tracks here! There are 4 main ones, but the "feeling this" calls are doubled and panned, and that shouting section from Tom I wanted to get that spaced telephone sound!! Then of course the outro harmonies! They're fun. Not in a studio here at home so have limitations, and I'm not experienced mixer. But cool to have fun and see how it turns out!
I'm trying not to emulate Tom too much but it's quite hard not to, just a little haha. Wouldn't sound right with a British accent! Just went back to my "TIME?" days where I seem to sing with an American accent throughout. That's what years of pop punk covers will do to you :)
