We're continuing to look at all the murals done during the latest edition of Under Pressure, which took place in August in Montreal. For the contest hosted by @digi-me CCC's Street Art Contest #160, I chose this superb work by Omar Bernal Benítez with an obscure meaning (to me) but the style is just stunning.

Nous continuons de voir les différentes œuvres réalisées pendant la dernière édition du Under Pressure qui s'est déroulé au mois d'aout à Montréal. Pour le concours organisé par @digi-me CCC's Street Art Contest #160, j'ai choisi cette superbe œuvre réalisée par Omar Bernal Benítez, signification obscure pour moi mais niveau style rien à dire, magnifique.

WHERE

The Under Pressure festival takes place mainly around Sainte Catherine Street between Saint Laurent Boulevard and Sanguinet Street. Today, we're not far from the murals presented at StreetArt #631 done by Myl and Monk.E, just around the corner from Dufault alley and Sainte-Elizabeth street.

Le festival Under Pressure se déroule essentiellement aux alentours de la rue Sainte Catherine entre le boulevard Saint Laurent et la rue Sanguinet. Aujourd'hui, nous ne sommes pas très loin des murales présentées lors du StreetArt #631 faite par Myl et Monk.E, juste au coin de la ruelle Dufault et de la rue Sainte-Elizabeth.

Dans la rue Sainte-Elizabeth, il y a deux œuvres côte à côte, deux portes de garage peintes une par Omar Bernal Benítez et l'autre par Adida Fallen Angel. J'ai préféré choisir l'œuvre d'Omar seule pour le concours. Qu'en pensez-vous ?

Omar Bernal

Omar Bernal Benítez aka Omar is a Mexican artist and designer who has been based in Montreal for several years now. This is the second self-portrait in a trilogy he began this summer. The first was painted at the Legal wall de Rouen in August, and I'll be showing it to you soon.

Omar Bernal Benítez aka Omar est un artiste et designer mexicain basé maintenant à Montréal depuis quelques années déjà. Il s'agit du deuxième autoportrait d'une trilogie qu'il a commencé cet été.. Le premier a été peint au Mur Légal de Rouen au mois d'aout, je vais vous le présenter bientôt.

For his second participation in Under Pressure (in 2021, see StreetArt #418), Omar has created his self-portrait with a mix of styles, those he has developed since he moved to Montreal. And as he says on his Instagram, the meaning has to come from the viewer. What do you see? Not obvious 😀.

Pour sa seconde participation à Under Pressure (en 2021, voir StreetArt #418), Omar a réalisé son autoportrait avec un mélange de styles, ceux qu'il a développé depuis qu'il est sur Montréal. Right next door, it's Adida Fallen Angel, a Montreal artist and illustrator with this 3D Love, a novelty for him that was also reproduced at the Legal Wall de Rouen, a wall that really serves as a place for artists to practice and test new ideas.
