Estuve pensando en un montón de momentos para escribir en este día como: un viaje, mi infancia, una fiesta, un evento, un lugar, pero la más grande experiencia que he tenido en mi vida fue haber entrado al Núcleo de San Antonio de Altos donde aprendí miles de cosas no solo musicales sino personales, sobre responsabilidad, amor, pasión, liderazgo, educación, aprendizaje, enseñanza y amistad. De este lugar, este espacio de convivencia saqué a los mejores compañeros de vida que nadie más puede tener, pero de ellos ya hablaremos después.
Creo que debía escoger una experiencia específica así que lo reduciré a la Orquesta Regional de Los Altos Mirandinos, que hoy recuerdo con cariño y añoranza y que gracias a los años que estuve ahí pude convertirme en la persona que soy hoy.

Bueno entremos en un poco de contexto, un núcleo es a lo que en Venezuela se llama una “escuela de música” y esta es parte del Sistema Nacional de Orquestas creado por el Maestro José Antonio Abreu (descanse en paz), este es un movimiento social que pretende enseñar a los niños de toda clase social el valor, la responsabilidad, el compañerismo y la belleza a través de la música. Hoy en día hay al menos un núcleo en cada rincón del país y en el exterior han adoptado el modelo del sistema para formar a niños y adolescentes de la misma manera. Aunque el objetivo principal de “El Sistema” no es crear músicos profesionales, es una consecuencia inevitable de la cual también tomaron cargo y crearon las orquestas profesionales, de las cuales también pude ser parte.
40 aniverario del sistema Núcleo San Antonio de Los Altos
El Núcleo de San Antonio de Los Altos fue creado en el 2006 por la Alcaldía de Los Salias con mi madre Maribel Centeno de representante, Isadora Vargas como Coordinadora General y Efrain Arteaga como Director Artístico, que luego sería el puesto de Antonio Mayorca. El núcleo durante los años fue creciendo y se convirtió en la sede de la Orquesta Sinfónica Regional de Los Altos Mirandinos en el 2013, el primer paso a “la profesionalización”. Para entrar debías hacer audición y nos daban una beca de estudio bastante útil al momento, eso ya no existe lamentablemente.

Con esta orquesta hice innumerables amigos y compañeros, tuve conciertos increíbles (como la Cantata Criolla, que es lo que estamos escuchando) y otros no tanto (una serenata de cuerdas de Tchaikovsky que salió muy mal), participamos en festivales (donde no ganamos porque no éramos los favoritos), conocimos personas importantes y otras no tanto; aprendimos qué es trabajar de 8 a 8, donde igual nos quejábamos pero al ver el resultado sabíamos que valía la pena. También fue donde decidimos que no importaba qué, nuestra orquesta iba ser de altísimo nivel por lo que debíamos estudiar mucho y ayudar a los que les costara más.

Algo que recuerdo muy bien es que llegamos a celebrar todas nuestra victorias y a apoyarnos en nuestros momentos difíciles como una familia, no estábamos simplemente sentados unos al lado del otro leyendo una partitura, también éramos confidentes, maestros, amigos, en fin, la familia que podías escoger. Esto me ayudó muchísimo durante la enfermedad y fallecimiento de mis padres, dándome energías para continuar con la música.
Por otro lado, como todo en la vida hay cosas maravillosas y hay cuentos feos, las personas tóxicas, el maltrato injustificado, la palabrería sin sentido, los regaños (que muchos eran de mi parte jaja) pero de todo eso poco a poco los íbamos superando porque la idea era hacer el bien para la orquesta, por lo que no valía la pena pelear. Incluso llegué a aprender bastante de esos momentos crudos y lidiar con personas problemáticas. Rehearsal in Fedora Aleman Sala Agradezco cada momento que viví con esta orquesta, fue maravilloso y como dije antes la recuerdo con mucho cariño, aprendí mucho y comencé a darle más valor a mi vida. Hace poco me reencontré con mis compañeros de forma virtual y creamos nuestra pequeña regional digital en la “Digital Chamber Orchestra” que les mostré en el día de agradecimiento #10. Nuestras vidas siguen y aunque tengamos años sin hablar al vernos de nuevo y decir "hola" es como si no hubiera pasado ni un día. Prueba de que hablamos como si nos hubiéramos visto ayer: I was thinking in a lot of moments to write this day like: a travel, my childhood, a party, an event, a place, but the most greatest experience that I had in my life was to join San Antonio de Los Altos's Núcleo where I learn thousand of things not just musical stuff but personal, responsibility, love, passion, leadership, education, learning, teaching and friendship. In this place, this coexistence environment I take the best life partners that anyone can have, but about them we would talk later. I think I got to choose a specific experience so I'm going to reduce it to "Los Altos Mirandinos Regional Orchestra", that today I remember with love and longing and thanks to all those years I was in there I could turn into the person I'm today. Conciert VII aniversary OSR Altos Mirandinos Well let get into some context, a "Núcleo'' is in Venezuela a "Music school" and this is part of the National System of Orchestras (El Sistema), created by Master José Antonio Abreu (rest in peace). This is a social movement that aims to teach children of all social classes about values, responsibility, fellowship and the meaning of beauty through music. Today there are "Núcleos” in every corner of the country and "El Sistema" model has been adopted by other countries to teach children and adolescents in the same way. Even so the principal goal of "El Sistema '' is not to form professional musicians, it is an inevitable consequence that they take charge too and create professional Orchestras, of which I could also be part. 40 aniverary of "El Sistema" Núcleo San Antonio de Los Altos San Antonio de Los Altos's Núcleo was created in 2006 by Los Salias's city hall with my mother Maribel Centeno as the city hall direct contact, Isadora Vargas as general coordinator and Efrain Arteaga as artistic director that later would be Antonio Mayorca. With this orchestra I made countless of friends and partners, I had amazing concerts (like the "Cantata criolla" the piece we are hearing right now) and others not so much (a string serenade by Tchaikovsky that went really bad), we partaken on festivals (Wich we didn't win because we weren't the favourites), we met important and not so important people, we learned what is to work from 8 to 8, where we still complained but when we saw the results we knew it was worth it. Also it was when we decided no matter what our orchestra would be of a very high quality level so we must study and help the others who struggle the most. Young Orchestras Festival, in front Master Abreu Something that I remember very well is that we celebrate our victories together and support us in our difficult times like a family. We weren't just sitting side by side reading some sheets, we also were confidants, teachers, friends, in short, the family that you could choose. This helped me a lot during my parent's illness and when they passed away, giving me energy to continue with music. In other hand, like everything in life there are wonderful things and are ugly storied, toxic people, unjustify mistreatment, nonsense verbiage, a lot of scolding (that some of them where from me haha) but all of that little by little we were overcoming in time because the idea was to do good for the orchestra, so it wasn't worth fighting. Even I have learned quite from those bad moments and deal with problematic people. Rehearsal in Fedora Aleman Sala I'm grateful with every moment that I live with this orchestra, it was wonderful and like I already said I remembered it with love, I learn so much and I start to giving more value to my life. I recently met again with some of my partners by virtual media and we created our little "digital regional" named Digital Chamber Orchestra that I showed you on my 10th grateful day.
