The last five years of my life have been a roller coaster. I have faced many experiences, both good and bad. However, what I have learned is that these are valuable lessons in my life. Without the bad experiences, I could have never reached the place I am in right now. I feel that whatever has happened has been a good thing, and I am very thoughtful about it.
If I talk about 2020, it was not that fun as I could not meet my friends anymore, which was a disadvantage because of COVID. However, one positive aspect was that I could enjoy my meals with my family together. My father had to stay home, and we were able to spend more time together. Unfortunately, my dad somehow got infected because he had to go out for groceries. He didn’t take my mom with him. Thankfully, it didn’t last long, and he recovered very quickly. However, I was very worried and emotional because of this situation.
In 2021, I started an online business, but it didn’t last long due to some errors. I made some mistakes in the beginning, so I can say that without making mistakes, one can't learn. I learned the policies and all the necessary things to run my business properly. I had started the business for clothing, and it was going very well until my school studies became overwhelming. I had to balance studying and running a business, which was very hard to accomplish. As I was a good student, I needed to maintain my grades. Unfortunately, I was having issues with that, and for that reason, I had to stop my business.
Then in 2022, my grandmother passed away first, and then my grandfather died. I was devastated; I could not bear the pain of losing them both in the same year. My grandmother was the only person who used to put me to sleep by telling bedtime stories. She was my one and only dear person. I loved her very much, and I still miss her. I still feel guilty that I could not save her, but I had nothing I could do at that age. Her memories are still alive with me, and I wish her well in heaven. My grandfather was also a gentleman. No matter what season it was, he would buy fruits that were in season. I still miss his smile and how he always used to smile at me.
My brother went to a hostel for his studies in 2023, and it was quite emotional for me. He was very naughty, so my parents decided to admit him to the hostel. I thought I would be happier when he was gone, but I felt a void in my heart when he left. He would still come to meet us during holidays, and I try to take care of him as much as I can as a sister. However, it was very overwhelming; whenever he came home, I would cry for no reason.
2024 was a hard phase for me as I had board exams to pass. I was studying so hard that I lost weight. I didn't sleep on time, and I didn't wake up in time to have meals. Everything was messed up in my life in 2024. I still have regrets about a few things I couldn't do, and I felt that I had wasted my time. However, as soon as the date for the board exams approached, I was as prepared as I wanted to be. I received an A+ in the board exams, which was the result everyone was expecting from me. It was a mesmerizing moment for me and my family. Every relative was calling my mom to congratulate her on my results, which made me feel proud of myself. In the end, I would say that the hard work I put into my studies was worth it.
Now, in the present, it's 2025. I was hospitalized for a while, and the doctors said I have anxiety, which I am currently dealing with. I have medications to take from time to time. However, new chapters have started in my life. I'm not sure where it's going, but I'm going to enjoy it for sure. Since I love to experience new things, it will be a good thing if something new happens in my life. I've discovered Hive this year, and hopefully, it will become a part of my daily routine. Additionally, I've found The Terminal, and there are some good people there who have become known to me, such as @jamerussell,
@thekittygirl,
@wesphilbin, and
@stayten. They have helped me out a lot, and I'm grateful to them. I hope our bond grows over time.
In these last five years, I've changed a lot—my way of talking and my ability to take things lightly. I feel like a better person than I was before.
