Life is fickle. A life is being brought into the world, while elsewhere, a life is ending. Life is indeed very private. In your neighbour's house, there is a celebration, a party, and everyone is happy. But in another neighbour's house, someone is praying to God to spare the life of a family member.

This evening, my good friend called me. She had earlier left school for home because she received an urgent call asking her to come home and take care of her sick dad. On getting home, she learnt that her dad had already died in the morning, but they didn't want to tell her because she is the last baby of the house.

When I heard the news, I was very down and sad. I realised that life is indeed private. Beside my house is a bar, with loud music playing and everyone laughing and dancing, but in my friend's house, there is mourning and crying over the loss of a dear one. This is so sad.

People have different things happening in their lives, but they choose to keep them private. Love deeply, cherish moments, be good and kind, and choose peace. This earthly life is not forever. We are in transit. I will still continue to pray to God for longer days of life.
