WHEN THERE IS NOBODY, NO CAMERAS AND NO PEOPLE TO CLAP FOR YOU OR CELEBRATE YOU, DO YOU KNOW YOURSELF?

Yeah! That's the topic for today.

Hello everyone welcome to my blog.

Everyday, knowingly or unknowingly we become someone. It now lies in our hands to be either the best version of ourselves or not.

The first version is the one we show to the world. While the second version is the one that exists when we are alone.

I personally believe the second version is very important in our daily lives.

When we are outside, we want to be in our best behaviour, act matured, we try to look responsible, speak with caution and paint a good picture of ourselves. Trust me there is nothing wrong showing the world that you're disciplined because we also need to be conscious of how our actions affect others outside.

But in the absence of recognition, ask yourself,

“Can I do what is right?”

When there is no one to applaud you, praise you or see your efforts, that's how to know if you are who you claim to be.

Imagine you found an expensive wristwatch that doesn't belong to you while you were alone. Nobody saw you, no cameras watching and you thought to yourself, keeping it won't be a bad idea.

What do you do in such a situation?

Or imagine you promised someone you'd stop smoking.
And while cleaning your room, you saw a pack of cigarettes. Suddenly your mind is trying to convince you that trying just one won't hurt.

What do you do in such a situation?

The moment may seem unimportant but those little things we do that seem harmless are like a brick forming its own home in our lives.

Whatever you've become today didn't just happen.
It started little by little and quietly.

It all happened with a process.
The day you choose honesty even when it costs you an opportunity.

The day you returned a person's missing wallet.

The day you choose to do the house chores without being told.

When you discipline yourself without any recognition, it becomes easy to live that version of you that the world sees.

You won't have to be living like a fruit with 2 sides. Looks good on the outside and bad on the inside.

Yes people live 2 lives.
A person can preach so well and never practice what they preach.

A person can talk about honesty, but tell lies especially when the situation is not convenient.

A person can encourage you to be hardworking but inside, they are already heartbroken and giving up slowly.

And when nobody sees this side of you, it becomes easy to convince the heart you're who you're not.

Don't get me wrong I'm not saying when you make a mistake, it means you're a bad person.
Of course we are humans, we make mistakes.
The most important thing is how we handle our mistakes.

Do we correct our wrongs? Do we learn from our mistakes?

Those are the questions we should ask ourselves.

Sometimes I won't even remember I helped someone and when they say thank you a few days after I will look confused until he/she reminds me.

That's because I don't necessarily have to announce that I helped someone. I just move on.

I envy people that are nonchalant. They can be annoying but they don't care about people's opinion.
They just live the way they want and it gives them peace.
It feels good being yourself and not trying to impress anyone.

I'm proud of myself because I have overcome hard times alone.
No audience, just me and it didn't just end there. It made me stronger.

Though I'm not perfect, I'm becoming a better person.

Thank you so much for stopping by.
Bye for now.♥️
