Hello everyone, welcome to my blog.
If I was asked to choose the most difficult weather to deal with I will choose "EXCESSIVE HEAT" over and over again.

Yeah! I know every weather has its own advantages and disadvantages but “HEAT”, sometimes I would want to walk naked.
I believe everyone has favourite seasons. Some people enjoy the warmth of summer, while others love the cold weather of winter.
But in Nigeria, our weather is different from the temperate region.
In Nigeria, we are familiar with the rainy and dry season–harmattern too, bringing its own special experience during some months in the dry season.
Many Nigerians are already familiar with heat, in fact it has become part of our daily lives.
Sometimes you don't have to engage in so many activities before you feel heat. It just has its own way of making you miserable without an announcement.
WHY HEAT BOTHERS ME
Sleeping at night becomes hard especially when the room is stuffy. You will keep turning on your bed trying to feel comfortable.
Imagine waking up the following day with eye bags, looking all tired because you couldn't get a good rest. And you have a lot of things to attend to but no energy to concentrate. That's the feeling.
Excessive heat can be very frustrating. It doesn't end during the day, at night you will still experience discomfort when the room is warm.
THE EL-NIÑO PHENOMENON
My fellow Nigerian will agree with me about the current El-Niño phenomenon we are experiencing in Nigeria.
The sun shines brighter and hot during the day and it descends on the skin harshly like it's going to fall on earth anytime soon. Haha!
The weather is unpredictable. One minute it's sunny and the next minute it's suddenly rainy.
And that doesn't reduce the heat at all.
Little activities became exhausting because the temperature is too high.
To make matters worse a lot of places in Nigeria are currently suffering from lack of electricity.
People are complaining.
Students find it difficult to study because the weather is hot and it will be difficult to concentrate.
People working from home are not left out. Lack of electricity will interfere with productivity.
Though not everyone experiences it the same way. But for me it's torture.
HOW I MAKE THE HEAT BEARABLE.
Staying hydrated is what I do all the time. I also pay attention to my body. Resting when necessary, putting on lightweight clothes to allow air and move freely and I try my best to reduce exposure to direct sunlight.
I plan my schedule and do some of my activities in the morning instead of spending much time under the hot sun.
At home I open my windows to allow airflow and my rechargeable fan is also a life saver. I can easily boost it with my power bank and the battery capacity wows me sometimes.
I can't control the weather, I will just have to manage and live with it. If I could, I would command the sun to hide for the whole day or the El-Niño phenomenon to disappear from the surface of the earth. 😄😄 But if only wishes were horses sha.
