There are a lot of things that define what a good person is, a lot. But then to me, I feel what matters most is kindness. Yes, and I agree that we all have our various opinions on this. But after giving it much thought, I came to the conclusion that it is kindness. A kind person is not selfish; a kind person is a good person. A kind person won't think about themselves only; a kind person is a good person because they will always be careful of what they say and do so as not to hurt or affect another person.
And like I said earlier, a lot of qualities can qualify a person to be a good person, but if that person lacks kindness, all the other qualities they possess might not have a positive impact on others. A person can be rich, knowledgeable, and powerful, but what would they do, and how will all of that positivity affect others when they are not kind.
And about mistakes, we all have made mistakes one way or the other. Everyone is working towards being a better person. So a person who has made a mistake can definitely be a good person. We are not God, so making mistakes is human. I should even be scared of you if you've never, for once, made a mistake.
Yes. So, making mistakes doesn't mean you're not or can't be a good person. What matters most is what you do after making a mistake. Do you accept you're wrong? Did you run away from it? Did you push blame? Are you trying to become a better person, and did you learn from your mistakes? This and many more are what to look into.
And like I said earlier, we are humans, and making mistakes is a part of us. Someone who has made bad choices in the past can change; their past shouldn't completely define their future. A lot of good and kind people that we see today are a product of bad choices in the past; they allowed their mistakes to teach them and have now become better humans.
