Hi there, everyone! Have a wonderful evening. I hope you’re all doing great, in great health, and enjoying some delicious cooking.
Today I’m sharing a new cookie recipe with you—making these cookies fills my heart with joy, because I absolutely love cookies. Besides enjoying them, they help me grow my business. These cookies are called “Havannet” or “Havannet-Style.” They’re very easy to make and turn out super delicious, combining the flavors of dark chocolate with arequipe.
Ingredients: 👩🏻🍳
50 g butter
45 g sugar
1 egg yolk
10 g cocoa powder
90 g all-purpose flour
A few drops of vanilla extract
For the filling:
60 g arequipe
30 g dark chocolate for coating
15 g butter
Step-by-step: 🍪
Mix the butter, sugar, and egg yolk with a spatula until everything is well combined and a creamy mixture forms.
Then add a few drops of vanilla extract, mix in the flour in batches, and add the cocoa powder, continuing to mix until a smooth dough forms that doesn’t stick to your fingers.
(It turns out super soft and smells absolutely delicious.)
Shape it into a medium-thick log, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, remove it and cut it into 1-cm-wide pieces. They’ll be round, so use your fingers to make a small indentation in each one; then prick them lightly with a tall skewer or a fork to prevent them from puffing up.
Return them to the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
Bake at 180°C for 10 minutes.
Once the time is up, remove them from the oven and let them cool.
While the cookies are cooling, melt the butter with the dark chocolate until it forms a smooth, liquid mixture.
Now let’s fill the cookies a little with the caramel.
We finish the filling by adding our mixture of dark chocolate and butter.
Let them sit until they cool, and they’re ready. That layer of chocolate dries and hardens…
These cookies are absolutely delicious and addictive; the combination of chocolate, caramel, and butter makes them irresistible.
