The Tank Column
Hello comrades, for several months I have not made entries related to the construction process of my house, is that to tell the truth these days have passed between a lot of stress and a great work pressure, all this due to the proximity of the Christmas holidays and the end of the year, but these exceptional circumstances do not mean that the work on my house has stopped, in fact it has happened quite the opposite, in this final stage of the year I have pushed my capabilities to the limit and certainly I have made progress that put me a few days to achieve the dream of moving into my new home.

La Columna del Tanque
Hola compañeros, desde hace varios meses no hago entradas relativas al proceso constructivo de mi casa, es que a decir verdad estos días han transcurrido entre mucho estrés y una gran presión laboral, todo esto debido a la cercanía de las fiestas navideñas y del fin de año, pero estas circunstancias excepcionales no significa que los trabajos en mi casa se hayan detenido, de hecho ha ocurrido todo lo contrario, en esta etapa final del año he llevado al límite mis capacidades y sin duda alguna he logrado avances que me ponen a pocos días de lograr el sueño de mudarme a mi nuevo hogar.

As in the area where my house has been built the public services are very irregular, I have had to come up with different solutions to make this space a habitable place with the necessary communities where life can develop in a full, quiet and comfortable way.
Como en la zona en que se ha levantado mi casa los servicios públicos son muy irregulares, me he visto en la necesidad de ingeniarme diversas soluciones que permitan hacer de ese espacio un lugar habitable y con las comunidades necesarias en donde la vida se pueda desarrollar de forma plena, tranquila y cómoda.
It is in this way as to solve the great failure that means not having a drinking water service recurrently by pipe, I decided that in the courtyard of the house was built a large column capable of supporting a tank of 2500 liters, which would be responsible for connecting to the internal pipeline and thus by gravity supply the vital liquid to all rooms of the house that need it, for it required a large investment and a good study of the situation, to thus find the key to raise a structure solid and durable enough to meet the desired objective.
Es de esta forma como para solucionar el gran fallo que significa no contar con un servicio de agua potable de forma recurrente por tubería, decidí que en el patio de la casa se construyera una gran columna capaz de soportar un tanque de 2500 litros, el cual sería el encargado de conectarse a la tubería interna y así por medio de la gravedad suministrar el vital líquido a todas las estancias de la casa que lo necesitan, para ello se requirió una gran inversión y un buen estudio de la situación, para de esa manera dar con la clave de levantar una estructura lo suficientemente sólida y duradera que permita cumplir con el objetivo deseado.
It is in this way how the workers began their work, to start the works they proceeded to excavate a square pit of more than one meter deep, which would serve as a base for the lattice of rafters, which would fall on, he must tell you that to maximize the resistance of the land and avoid future deviations was applying a technique that consisted of placing several layers of stone and cement, which provided solidity to the entire structure.
Es de esta forma como los obreros comenzaron su labor, para iniciar las obras se procedió a excavar un foso cuadrado de más de un metro de profundidad, el cual serviría de base para el entramado de cabillas, qué caería sobre, él debe contarles que para maximizar la resistencia del terreno y evitar futuras desviaciones se fue aplicando una técnica que consistía en colocar diversas capas de piedra y cemento, lo cual brindaba solidez a toda la estructura.
Fortunately, the day and the weather were in our favor, as we started very early in the morning we had plenty of time to completely pour the base and then the column, which I can proudly say has a height of 3 meters, which is more than enough to take full advantage of the storage capacity of any tank that is placed on it, another advantage of having been able to advance in these tasks in the same day is that both the base and the column to be poured at the same time will dry evenly and, therefore, gain strength and solidity.
Afortunadamente, el día y el clima estuvo nuestro favor, al iniciar la jornada muy temprano nos quedó tiempo de sobra para vaciar totalmente la base y posteriormente la columna, la cual orgullosamente puedo decir que tiene una altura de 3 metros, lo que es más que suficiente para aprovechar al máximo las capacidades de almacenamiento de cualquier tanque que se coloque sobre ella, otra ventaja de haber podido avanzar en estas tareas en una misma jornada es que tanto la base como la columna al ser vaciadas al mismo tiempo se secarán de forma uniforme y, por lo tanto, ganarán resistencia y solidez.
We had to wait a week for the concrete to dry completely and thus be able to continue with the final stage of this project, which consisted of removing the formwork and proceed to pour the plate that would crown the column, for which a very resistant framework of purlins would be made, which had to be able to withstand the immense weight that it would carry, This is how in a second day of work this last stage would be completely emptied and the work would be almost finished, just as it happened with the column and the base, a week later the formwork would be removed, to discover that the work was successful, the structure has a perfect level and a resistance that promises to last through time.
Tuvimos que esperar una semana para que el concreto secará por completo y así poder continuar con la etapa final de este proyecto, el cual consistía en desencofrar lo ya elaborado y proceder a vaciar la placa que coronaría la columna, para ello se elaboraría un entramado de cabillas bien resistente, el cual debía ser capaz de aguantar el inmenso peso que llevaría encima, es así como en una segunda jornada de trabajo se vaciaría por completo esta última etapa y se daría casi por finalizada la obra, modo al igual que sucedió con la columna y la base una semana después se procedería a desencofrar, para de esta manera descubrir que el trabajo que exitoso, la estructura cuenta con un nivel perfecto y una resistencia que promete perdurar a través del tiempo.
Now it is a matter of time to proceed to lower the water tank, fill it and definitely give habitability to the house, for this I am still working on everything that will be the connection through pipes and in case something is missing I am thinking of various creative ideas to fill that gray column of much art and color.
Ahora es cuestión de tiempo para proceder a bajar el tanque de agua, llenarlo y darle definitivamente a habitabilidad a la casa, para ello sigo trabajando en todo lo que será la conexión a través de tuberías y por si faltara algo estoy pensando en diversas ideas creativas que permitan llenar esa columna gris de mucho arte y color.
