Happy day to you all, friends of Hive and Worldmappin! Here's @lauramica and I'm here to share with you Saturday's Travel Digest. Come and see where we're strolling today ❤️.
This time, our featured posts show us some beautiful night shots of Yanqi Lake in China, we take a walk among some beautiful sand sculptures in Denmark and visit a bit of nature in Indonesia. We also visit other parts of the world such as the Philippines, Argentina, Austria, Guatemala and Japan: a bit of everything! :)
Thank you all for pinning your posts to the Worldmappin map, have a great day! 😃❤️
Most of the time, when I visit the Yanqi Lake area, I enjoy the moment from the afternoon to the evening and I come back to my dorm before the dark as it is quite far from my living place. But last month during my holidays on the occasion of Dragon Boat Festival, I have spent long hours on the beautiful Yanqi Lake Dam from where these breathtaking views can be explored at night time. That day I went there in the late afternoon and leave the dam after 9 pm which is quite late and I returned to my dormitory around 10 pm.

Every year a wonderful sand sculpture festival takes place in Ringkobing, West Jütland, near the North Sea. This year the focus is on Greenland: from the Ice Age to Inuit settlements, explorers and whalers, right up to independence. The highlights are the 200m wall, 7m high where 10 individual sculptures are up to 4m high. It's like you walked through a timeliness carved in sand.

The daily grind of Jakarta can sometimes lead to burnout, so people stuck in Jakarta's traffic often turn to nature to release their pent-up emotions. Not far from Jakarta, a place called Sentul boasts remarkably pristine nature. It experiences continuous rainfall even during the hottest part of the summer. This spot is a popular destination due to its priceless natural beauty.
