In my small community of Sisters, Oregon there is a road on the edge of town that has some spectacular views. It is a long stretch of road with plenty of area to pull over and admire the views. The main attraction here is the mountain peaks known as The Three Sisters. Of course this is where the town derives its name from as it is only a scant 12 miles to the closest peak. Follow along as I share some pictures and stories of why this is one of my favorite places in my town. You will also see how the scenery changes through the seasons. 馃檪
No matter the season there is almost always an ever changing view of The Three Sisters. They are usually identified as the North(right), Middle and South Sister but they are also called Faith, Hope and Charity on occasion. A name given to them by early settlers of the region.

Before we moved here 8 years ago we use to go to this spot to enjoy the mountain views. It was one of the things that attracted us to this area.
However a couple months after moving here we were introduced to one of the hazards of living here, wildfire.
All ended well though and soon we were back to enjoying the fantastic views.
In addition to mountain views, sunrise in this location can also be spectacular. This was one of the better ones I have probably ever seen.
Like the views of the mountains though they are ever changing.
Of course sometimes the mountains like to get in on the sunrise action also. 馃槈
I took a lot of these sunrise photos of the mountains while eating a breakfast sandwich. The perfect way to start the day.
And while I don't take a lot of sunset photos here this starburst shot of the sun going down behind the North Sister is one of my favorites.

A heavy snowfall blocks the pull over area along the road. The brown horizontal line is the top of the fence almost buried.
And a few days later the skies have cleared and a wonderful winter scene ensues.
