Arbon is located on the lake Constance, about 20 minutes drive from St. Gallen. Lake Constance shore is full of picturesque little towns and Arbon is not an exception. You can walk around the old town in less than 30 minutes, but each house is so interesting that it feels like you've seen so much more. The surroundings of the town are rich in archaeological findings and today we know that the first inhabitants came to Arbon around 8000 years ago and started a small settlement. Over many and many centuries, the settlement changed to a village and later in the 13th century it got it's town rights. Even though the industry was blooming, Arbon remained in the shadows of bigger cities, such as St. Gallen or Constance. This is how much you can learn from a museum visit! But I'll take you there next time.

Hello travellers. This time I invite you to visit the Castillo de la Real Fuerza, located in the historic centre of the legendary Havana, next to the Plaza de Armas. This fortress is one of the infrastructures that constituted the defensive system of the city at a time when pirate and corsair attacks were in vogue. This construction is considered an outstanding exponent of the military architecture of the times of Spanish colonial rule in the Caribbean region. Its construction began in 1558 under the direction of the engineer Bartolomé Sánchez and lasted almost two decades. In 1762, when Havana was taken by the English army, the fortification withstood the attack despite its location further inland from the entrance channel to the bay.

Just before Christmas last year I went to visit Horizon 22 to see some of London's beautiful skyscrapers. Horizon 22 is the tallest free viewing platform in Europe, and is in my favorite city London! The building is located at 22 Bishopsgate, has 62 floors, is 278m tall and is the 2nd tallest building in the UK. Entrance is free (in case you missed that), you can pre book from their website, or try to walk in on the day. That's what I did.
