馃 Ending the Day on a High Note in the Georgian Mountains by gretelarmfeg@gretelarmfeg

Our tour guide told us that our last stop was one of the famous tourist spots that perched overlooking the Devil's Valley in the Caucasus Mountains. I was so excited to hear our guide talk about this stunning place. I couldn鈥檛 wait to see it with my own eyes. It would take an hour to reach the area so I kept myself entertained by taking pictures along the way. I enjoyed seeing the snow covered mountains and the bare trees that created a beautiful winter scene. The sun was hazily visible. It glowed through a thick layer of clouds adding a mysterious and peaceful feeling to the surroundings.

馃 memories from New Hampshire by hindavi@hindavi

Last year at same time we were in US New Hampshire visiting my brother-in-law. As he lived in Campton, very close to the White Mountain National Forest, we had a few opportunities to explore the beautiful autumn scenery of New Hampshire. Since we mostly enjoy visiting natural places, it was a lovely area for us. However, our visit was primarily to help him during his illness, so most of our time was spent with him rather than sightseeing.

馃 Nomads. Turkmenistan by grindle@grindle

So having come out of the Karakoram Desert for a stop over in Turkmenbasi, it was a return today a four hour drive there and a four hour drive back. Some of it on tarmac; most of it not, barren scrubland the road running as straight as an arrow, empty apart from the camels roaming free.
