The Shadow of an Old Cactus
In the area where I live, there is an enormous cactus that has been there for many years. I have seen it countless times, but this time it was its shadow that caught my attention. The strong sunlight made its shape stand out clearly on the ground, turning something familiar into an interesting subject for my camera.
En la zona donde vivo hay un cactus enorme que lleva muchos años allí. Lo he visto incontables veces, pero esta vez fue su sombra la que llamó mi atención. La intensa luz del sol hacía que su forma se destacara claramente sobre el suelo, convirtiendo algo conocido de todos los días en un motivo interesante para mi cámara.
Sometimes we get used to the things that surround us and stop noticing them. A change in light can be enough to make us look again at something we have passed by many times. This old cactus gave me one of those simple moments that make a shadow hunter stop and take a picture.
A veces nos acostumbramos a las cosas que nos rodean y dejamos de prestarles atención. Un cambio en la luz puede ser suficiente para que volvamos a mirar algo por lo que hemos pasado muchas veces. Este viejo cactus me regaló uno de esos momentos sencillos que hacen que un cazador de sombras se detenga y tome una fotografía.
