Today I made some noodle soup. It was my first time so didn't knew if the family would like it :)
The receipe is very simple and quick to make.
The ingredients:
- Carrot
- Leek
- Butter beans
- Tomato
- Red pepper
- White onion
- Lime
- Shrimps
- Noodle paste
- Noodles of course
First I cooked the noodles. When they were done I had to cool them down for further use later on.
I cut the vegetables in little pieces so the are cooked quickly.
The tomato had to kept a side. This is mixed in the soup on the last moment.. To keep some texture
Of course during cooking you'll get thirsty, so I took a delicious local beer "Nathals" it's a beer brewed not far from where we live. It's getting more and more populair. It's a unfiltered beer, so there is som residu in the bottle, but the taste is awesome...
I cooled the noodles down with cold water to use them later on on the bowls.
Then I boiled the water and mixed the noodle paste into it untill it was dissvolved
When the water cooked and the paste was dissolves I put the vegetables in and let them cook slowly for about 8 minutes.
After the 8 minutes I put in the shrimps and tomato and let it cook for another minute.
In the meanwhile I prepared the soupbowls with the noodles. I kept the noodles under the hot water to warm up a bit.
After that I poured the soup over the noodles and served it with a bit of lime.
It was good but no more than that. It's (for us) not a super dish with a lot of flavour. So I won;t think I will make it again soon :)
Have a great day,
Peter
