One of my kids loves eating eggs. He could eat it in the morning and in the evening, but I am afraid that it might be unhealthy. Of course, I know that eggs are good in the way that they are low in calories, but what about the cholesterol?

As a result, I wanted to look it up to find out what are the hard facts about eggs and whether I should be worried if my kid eat one or two or even more eggs a day.

Is two eggs a day one egg too many?

Eating two eggs a day as part of a healthy, balanced diet is generally considered safe for most people. In fact, eggs are a good source of high-quality protein, vitamins, and minerals, such as vitamin D, choline, and selenium. However, we need to keep in mind that the total amount of cholesterol in our diet may affect our blood cholesterol levels (as I knew from before).

The American Heart Association recommends consuming no more than 300 milligrams of dietary cholesterol per day, and no more than 200 milligrams per day for those with heart disease or high cholesterol. A large egg contains approximately 185 milligrams of cholesterol, so eating two eggs a day would put you over the recommended daily limit if you consume other cholesterol-containing foods.

That is the pure math. I guess the most important is to eat healthy food, and if you eat good food, then it shouldn't cause much trouble, at least not if you combine the eggs with a healthy lifestyle, exercise, and a balanced diet. But if you eat two eggs in the morning, sit in front of the computer all day, and then eat a giant steak for dinner, it might be another story.
