Lulu and I enjoyed a vigorous 4 mile hilly miles up in the hills above the Goldwater Lakes which sit south of Prescott. We haven't been here in quite awhile and this would probably be our last time here for the foreseeable future.
This area is a city owned park so my Federal park pass wasn't any good. We parked along with several other cars above the and headed generally downhill. There were several people already hiking and Lulu took her time to say hello and get her share of attention.
A couple of squirrels and a pair of deer got Lulu excited and she had fun barking at the squirrels high in the trees.
The lake was low but the water was nice and clear so Lulu enjoyed a nice dip and sip before we headed up the steep uphill road back to the trailhead.
All and all a great day but I'm so tired from getting the RV packed up for our move and my training has suffered due to this - thinking that I'll cancel my upcoming 34 hour ultra and concentrate on training up in South Dakota this summer.
