A couple of macro shots of some nice clear quartz crystals from this classic spot located in the SW corner of Arizona a few miles south of Quartzsite. The small mount is located in the Kofa NWR so it's open to all (but no heavy digging or hammering is allowed). Still, a few hours scrambling around on the hillsides will yield plenty of beautiful clear crystals.
Plenty of beautiful landscape to admire if you need a break from rock exploration and there are plenty of places for (free) dry camping if you want to spend more than a day in the area (or want to explore more of the refuge).
