Not too strenuous a day running-wise as I spent 3 hours dragging weeds out if one of our trout ponds so my run only covered a bit over 2 miles.
Lots of upper body work pulling the weeds so it was a decent workout and my run was at a good pace as we.
Lulu and I did have a great hike up in the canyon along the Savoy trail up to an old pond used to supply the Homestake gold mine.

The sky was gradually filling with dark storm clouds and the temperature dropped as a cold front began to move into the hills. The trail was a gentle wide gravel path along the upper Spearfish Creek for a couple of miles with beautiful scenery and flowers along the way, plus plenty of smells for Lulu to explore.

We paused for a little bit at the small Avoy pond where Lulu enjoyed a cooling dip in the water and a nice drink before we headed back down the trail to the parking lot as raindrops just began to fall asleep our hike was wrapping up.
A very nice time but any day out in nature with Lulu is great.
