The first weekend of 2024 started off as a grey and rather uncomfortable day with a messy snowstorm in the forecast for tomorrow morning.
The morning was decent enough for our morning walk although the thermometer hadn't reached much above 20 degrees yet.
Lulu was content having a little bit of clothing on with her Big Texan shirt that we got her last year when we went back east for a few weeks.
It's a bit big, but then again, it's perfect to fit her big Texas personality.
Almost all of the previous snow has disappeared so not much for Lulu to do except her usual trot and sniff over the 2 miles.
Since we woke a bit late so my plan was for a hike up around Lynx Lake or the creek and we eventually ended heading to the creek.
The forest was quiet and empty of any other people and we enjoyed our easy 2 miles hiking up the jeep trail before I hit the dirt for some very rewarding prospecting.
