It was a wonderful day of sightseeing with my family.
I decided to take time off from my running and spend some time up in Williams, AZ (Gateway to the Grand Canyon) to take on the history, natural beauty and some shopping.
The city was originally a rail town on the old Santa Fe line and then a stop on the old Mother Road - Route 66 and it is a very nice all-season locale now.
Had a nice time walking along the old main street and checking out all of the cool little shops and enjoying the cooler climate up at the 6300 feet elevation. Nice to see more green plants and the tall stands of pines and for trees.
Picked up some nice foods and a few local artist creations and finished it up with a nice Mexican dinner.
I hope my legs are feeling better soon and maybe a few easy days will help out.
Overall a decent amount of activity
