A hopefully happy and safe Easter Sunday for all my Actifit friends out there.
Today was a rewarding run although I had hoped to put on a good amount of faster miles on the school track. Unfortunately the gates were locked closed so hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to do a bunch of laps to try to push up my mileage. Can't complain too much about this week's mileage total with 65 miles in the books. A nice relaxed route through town on nice conditions and mild temps getting up to the mid 60s. We indulged in some ice cream sundaes last night in celebration of my wife's birthday so I had a bunch of extra bad junk calories to burn off today. Oh well, it was for a worthy cause!!
Things remain relatively under control here in this area as the Coronavirus has been mild and no major restrictions are in place other than the recommended 6 foot social distancing. My nurse friends back in MA are having a tougher time as the workload is pretty miserable for them. Makes me so glad to be retired from emergency nursing going on three years now, too had the nurses never get the credit they deserve for the difficult and thankless work they do day in and day out.
Miss my old friends.
Oh well, time to feed the doggies after their daily romp at the dog park and look forward to the upcoming week. Maybe we'll finally start to see things getting better here in the States. That way we can get the political fucktards to shut up and quit screwing up our lives and liberties.
