RE: Super Mario Bros Texas Instruments 99/4A Preview 4 Released
That is something I wish more of these independent homebrew developers would do, especially when working with a property owned by someone else - release the code. Release demo versions as you go. A C&D

RE: Retro Gaming Steam Highlights June 2020
Don't worry, there are TONS more available. I counted about 100 or so and narrowed it down to this list. I intentionally left a lot out so that people may discover that hidden gem they forgot about and

RE: Street Fighter Alpha Franchise Launched in Arcades – June 27th, 1995 - Today in Video Game History
I was out of arcades by the time SFA came along. I was solely a console gamer at that point. I remember reading all the coverage I could in gaming publications at the time. I was a big Street Fighter fan

RE: Quake Brings Gamers 3rd Dimension Death – June 22nd 1996 - Today in Video Game History
Yeah, Deathmatch Classic and others are popular, or were. Considering how they designed it, those with the knowledge can literally make anything with the engine. I know someone, years ago, recreated the

RE: Day of the Tentacle Reminds Gamers of Maniac Mansion – June 25th, 1993 - Today in Video Game History
I played this one so far back that it would be a brand new adventure to me at this point. That means it is probably time to take that leap again. Lol. I remember it being fun though I preferred the original

RE: Antipole DX Eyeing PlayStation 4 Xbox One and Steam Release
Yeah, the original was on Nintendo DSiWare and Xbox Live Indie Games. I believe that was ended a few years after the Xbox 360 was launched. Here is a review of the original on Nintendo DSiWare -

RE: Ultracore Hitting PlayStation and Nintendo Switch Digital Stores
That is awesome about Retro City Rampage, I did not know there was such an option available to play on old PC's. There were many games in the later DOS days that were graphically impressive, similarly

RE: Sonic Brings Speed to Sega Genesis – June 23rd, 1991 - Today in Video Game History
Depending on the Sonic game, it can be an amazing experience. Much like any franchise that has lasted this long, there are going to be some horrible entries.

That is funny about the dorm phone lines. Have you tried out the Source engine remakes of Quake and such? There are some really awesome updates available that make it look new but has that classic feel.

RE: Ultracore Hitting PlayStation and Nintendo Switch Digital Stores
It is great to see this game finally get released. I worked with a company a while back that was trying to acquire the license to do this but a deal could not be agreed on. This was 3 to 5 years ago and

RE: Kingdom Hearts Melody of Memory Coming to Consoles
What console do you have? There are remakes of the PS2, PSP, and such on PS3/PS4 I believe. Definitely look into it a bit as there seems to be a proper way to play them - it is not the way Square Enix

Definitely. Are there any you want to see remade? I would love to see a 2.5D (like Bloodstained) Batman game myself.

RE: Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX Announced
I am a fan of the series, I got into it much later though. I have played many of the releases (mostly through emulation) and covered a ton of hacks. I even made some bead art for it.

RE: [Breaking The Nostalgia Glasses] Batman & Robin (PS1)
Sadly, back then (8 and 16-bit era) it seemed companies would spend most of their budget on the license and then slap it on the cheapest game they could make. Such a sad way to handle things. I can only

You will either love it or hate it. There doesn't seem to be a middle ground with Tetris Attack. I personally fell in love with it while standing at a Toys R Us and playing the demo unit (they had it set

RE: [ESP][ENG] The Super Nintendo's fabulous Mode 7 / El fabuloso Modo 7 de la Super Nintendo
Have you checked out the "HD Mode 7" that some emulators make available? It really changes the game so to speak. Pilotwings becomes almost a brand new game.
