Fatal Fury is a franchise that SNK pulled a Capcom with. Lol. At least SNK did add new assets such as new characters and different stages to fight on with each new iteration. I was never able to get used to the SNK method of inputting moves though.
I love brawling games for some reason. I know they are simple affairs but sometimes I just want to play a game and enjoy it. That is what brawling games give me. Many fighting games almost require reading a book on how to input moves.
I am interested in the new Mortal Kombat game but again, the method of inputting moves felt weird to me. I guess the one-on-one fighting games just left me behind around the Street Fighter III period. I simply did not evolve with them or something.
If you have time, check out the lineup from Piko Interactive. They acquire the rights to games and either finish them and release them or make them available to gamers today. They have a strong lineup of brawling style games available. A lot of their titles are available on GoG.com and Steam for digital, and physical copies on their site.
