I tried getting into Dr. Mario back when it was first released but just couldn't do it. Not sure why because I was a HUGE fan of Tetris prior, and still am. It just wasn't for me.
Have you tried Tetris Attack yet? I am not sure if it is on the Nintendo service or not (I don't have a Switch). This is a great title that is completely different than Tetris. Not sure why they used the name Tetris in the title, maybe it was a form of holding onto the license? Anyhow, it is a great puzzle game that makes you rethink how you play this style of puzzle game. It is of course "Nintendo-ized" in some family friendly ways.
