I make this Saltine Toffee Crunch aka Christmas Crack once a year and people LOSE THEIR MINDS over it lol I swear this is the easiest MOST crowd pleasing recipe you will ever make!
Ingredients
1cup butter
1cup granulated white sugar
1-2 sleeves of saltine crackers
1 bag Nestles Mini Morsels (it is important to get the mini ones because they melt faster/easier)
Chopped Walnuts (or topping of your choice)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Line a small baking sheet (aka jelly roll pan) with foil (or a large baking sheet with aluminum foil and fold up the edges of the foil to box in the crackers) Spread the crackers out on the foil in a single layer . Set aside.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter and sugar over medium to low heat on the stovetop. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring constantly until it bubbles and turns mostly white
- Immediately pour over the crackers and spread to cover completely.
- Bake for 5 minutes in the oven. Remove from oven and sprinkle the chocolate chips on top. Spread evenly with a spatula until all the chips are melted
- Top with nuts or any additional topping if desired.
- Chill in the freezer for about 1 hour to harden.
- Peel away the foil and break into pieces.
DEVOUR!! Enjoy!
