After a couple of days, I tried some food in a Xinjiang-based restaurant in a nearby town of my institute. The food is so delicious in this kind of restaurant for my taste buds. These foods are not exactly the same like the other regions of China; for example, Northern people, like the Beijing people, love noodles more as staple foods compared to Southern people, who love rice and other staple foods more. Also, northern people love saltier foods, which is really troublesome for me with the canteen food here.
I often eat my favorite dishes, including the large-plate chicken (大盘鸡 (dà pán jī)), potato beef rice bowl, and some other dishes like potato chips, cauliflower, and many more. I usually eat less barbecue normally as often I get less cooked meat here that is not so common in Bangladesh. But today, I have ordered some of them with plain fried rice with eggs.
This version of fried rice is very normal, without oil and many ingredients, like the usual format of Chinese-style fried rice. I thought there would be more eggs with some other fillers but here you can hardly see eggs and other stuffs and it really doesn't make sense for a price of 12 RMB for this plain rice! At this price I can get very delicious Niu rou La mian which is a kind of hand-made noodle with beef broth and beef slices, with a sweet fragrance and delicacy.
But the barbecues were top-notch, especially I love the long wooden branch one with mutton though it costs 14 RMB which is decent and really so delicious. The other barbecues were the chicken heart and gizzard, fish tofu and mushroom tofu. All of them were also very delicious and the price for these other items were 4 RMB! Making a bill of 42 RMB that is almost around 6 dollar. It was a heavy meal for me and such tasty foods always make me so happy!
Also, the interior of the restaurant is decent and medium in size. There is good air conditioning system which make the summer environment so comfortable here.
I hope you like my experience with the halal foods restaurant of China which is the most common type of halal food restaurant in China also. If you have any queries, let me know in the comments, and I will do my best to answer them.
Thanks a lot for your time and attention. I will catch up with you at the next one. Wishing you a good day!
I took all the photos, and they are my own property.
