Assalam o Alaikum everyone! I hope you all are doing well. Alhamdulillah, I am also doing very well. Today I want to share a delicious and simple family recipe with you all. This is a little different from regular keema because I have added different vegetables to it. I made this flavorful Keema (Minced Beef) with carrots, potatoes, capsicum, and onions, and served it with simple white rice.I always try to add vegetables to my dishes because vegetables are an important part of our meals. My children do not really like vegetables, so I try to find different ways to add them to their food. When I cook vegetables together with meat or Keema (Minced Beef), they enjoy eating them much more.

Preparing the Keema (Minced Beef)

First, wash the beef Keema (Minced Beef) well and keep it aside. Now finely chop one onion. Take a pot and add some oil. Add the chopped onion and fry it until its color starts to change and it becomes light golden. Now add the beef Keema (Minced Beef) to the pot and mix it well with the onion. Next, crush about four to five cloves of ginger and garlic and add them to the Keema (Minced Beef).Mix everything well and fry the Keema (Minced Beef) nicely. Keep frying until its color starts to change and the raw smell goes away.

Adding the Spices

When the Keema (Minced Beef) is nicely fried, it is time to add the spices. I added mixed spice, salt, cumin, coriander powder, and turmeric powder.Mix all the spices well with the Keema (Minced Beef) and fry everything together. Frying the spices properly helps bring out their flavor and makes the Keema (Minced Beef) more delicious.

Adding the Tomatoes

After frying the Keema (Minced Beef) with the spices, I added three to four tomatoes. I blended the tomatoes until smooth and then added them to the pot.Mix the tomatoes well with the Keema (Minced Beef) and cook everything together. Keep frying until the water from the tomatoes dries up and the oil starts to separate. This makes the Keema (Minced Beef) rich and flavorful. Now cover the pot and let it cook while we prepare our vegetables.

Preparing the Vegetables

For this recipe, I used capsicum, carrot, onion, and potatoes.
As you can see in the pictures, I cut all the vegetables into small pieces. First, I finely chopped the capsicum. Then I cut the carrot into small and thin pieces. I also chopped one onion and cut the potatoes into small cubes. You can cut the vegetables according to your own choice. You can make them smaller or slightly bigger depending on how you like them.

Adding the Vegetables

Once the Keema (Minced Beef) is nicely fried with the spices and tomatoes, add all the chopped vegetables to the pot.
Mix everything well so that the vegetables are nicely coated with the Keema (Minced Beef), spices, and tomato mixture.
Now add water according to the amount you need. I added about one glass of water because I wanted the vegetables to cook nicely in the same water.Cover the pot and let everything cook together. The vegetables cooked very nicely in that one glass of water and absorbed all the delicious flavors of the Keema (Minced Beef).

Adding Fresh Coriander

When everything was cooked, I finely chopped some fresh coriander and added it at the end.Fresh coriander has such a lovely aroma, and it gave the Keema (Minced Beef) a wonderful fresh flavor. I really love adding fresh coriander to my dishes because even a small amount can make the food smell and taste so much better.

Why I Added Vegetables

Actually, the main reason I made this vegetable Keema (Minced Beef) is because I always try to include vegetables in my family’s meals. My children are not very fond of vegetables, but when I cook them together with meat or Keema (Minced Beef), they eat them with much more interest. This way, they can enjoy their favorite food while also getting the goodness of different vegetables. You can also add other vegetables according to your choice. You can add peas, cabbage, or any other vegetables you like. This recipe is very flexible, so you can use the vegetables that are available at home.

Simple White Rice

Along with the vegetable Keema (Minced Beef), I also made simple white rice.Rice is one of my family’s favorite foods. Everyone in my family loves rice so much that they enjoy having rice with almost every meal. That is why I decided to make simple white rice to serve with this Keema (Minced Beef). The plain white rice went really well with the flavorful Keema (Minced Beef) and vegetables. The combination made a delicious and satisfying family meal.

Final Thoughts

I really enjoyed making this mixed vegetable Keema (Minced Beef). It was flavorful, simple, and also a good way to add vegetables to my children’s meals. The combination of beef Keema (Minced Beef), vegetables, spices, fresh coriander, and simple white rice made this meal really delicious.
