Sometimes we get too pre-occupied with life and we forget who we are doing it for. Sometimes I am guilty of this. I haven't seen my niece in so long it's a shame. So, today is that day. No chores, no meetings coz I usually schedule most of my meetings over the weekend, no chores, heck I even want to turn my phone off just to go and spend time with her.
See, I just realized that life is short after bidding goodbye to one of my cousins a couple of days ago. She lived less than 30minutes from my place and more often than not when we met on the streets, she asked me to drop by her place. This never really happened. I should have done better, I should have stopped being "busy" for my cousin when she needed some family love before she passed on.
I know most of you are caught up in the dilemma of giving your families a better life, but do not compromise on the quality time they need. All humans have a need to feel wanted, they need your affection even more than the paper. They need your presence. If you have no one to cherish in this world with all the money in this world, then you haven't lived yet.
